While we are happy to adapt the way we work to suit individual requirements, we usually follow a simple four-point process. This is designed to ensure that our clients get the best and most suitable candidates to choose from.
The consultant who is assigned to you will be a specialist in your market sector and will remain your sole point of contact. This maintains continuity throughout the process and ensures that your individual requirements are fully understood and met.
Getting the job specification right
We endeavour to find out as much information as possible about the position and role in question and the type of candidate you are seeking. Not just background, experience and career to date, but equally crucial aspects such as character and personality fit. The more thorough and focused this stage, the faster and more successful the whole recruitment process.
Identifying suitable candidates
We start by searching our existing database, which in the majority of cases will provide a selection of suitable candidates. We will then supplement this by advertising. This may be through the Internet (Specialist websites, LinkedIn, Social Media etc), in trade publications, or in local, national and international newspapers and magazines. At the end of this stage, we will have a selection of CVs to forward to you.
Screening and pre-qualifying
All potential candidates are interviewed and vetted by us before being sent to you for interview. This follows the submission of the selected CVs and a full discussion about the strengths and attributes of lead candidates, either those we recommend or those who have particular appeal to you. Our aim is to give you as much information as possible so you can make the right decision.
Coordination, negotiation and references
Once you have conducted preliminary interviews, we will endeavour to keep the feedback and information flow between you and your preferred candidates as open as possible. When you are ready to make an offer of employment, we can handle any salary and package negotiations on your behalf. We will also obtain references and finalise all other details such as start date.
