- Junior Pensions Fund Accountant – Practice or Pension Accounting Experience
Middlesbrough - £24,500
A large established Financial Services Group whose expertise lies in the Pensions Consultancy field are seeking a highly competent candidate to develop there Accounting skills within Pension Fund Accounting. The department is responsible for managing a diverse range of client accounts and ensuring all Statutory Accounts and Trustee Reports are completed within regulatory timeframes and requirements.
Specifics of the role would include –
- Assist with a defined portfolio of clients and ensuring all scheme accounts and financial reporting activities are completed.
- Liaise with Clients, Investment Managers, Auditors and Internal Actuarial, Pension Consulting and Payroll departments.
- Prepare all Trustee Reports and Accounts.
- Provide Assistance with cashbooks
- Reconcile Financial Statements & Investment Transactions, prepare Tax Returns.
- Take on new client’s responsibilities, gaining further diversified knowledge and expertise.
- Continue to study professional qualifications and develop technical knowledge to advance your career.
- Work effectively in team-oriented environment which places the client at the heart of everything they do.

- Either Pension Scheme Accountancy or Accountancy Practice experience including client reconciliation / year end processes.
- Be studying towards or completed professional accountancy qualifications (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Display excellent communication, client and interpersonal skills.
